So I started working on the Damsel In Distress challenge at dokuga_contest. Yay for muse for returning from Bermuda to help me out for a little bit! I got about a paragraph into the first story in the series and something hit me: what does Rin call Kagome? Is it just Kagome, Kagome followed by some honorific, hey lady? It's been so long since I've read the manga I have no earthly idea. I don't even remember which chapters Rin and Kagome come into contact to do a little research. Let's face it - the manga is so long I don't really feel like going through chapter by chapter to figure it out. That's where you wonderful Dokugans come in.

What does Rin call Kagome in the manga? Movies could work too, since I know they did come into contact in the last movie (I believe it's the last one).

Is there anyone out there that knows and can help solve my little name issue?

Hmm I'm pretty sure Rin calls Kagome, Kagome-oneesan but I could be wrong.

In the 3rd movie, English dub, I think she just calls Kagome "Kagome". No "lady" or "priestess" or any type of title. I'd need to re-watch the Japanese dub to see if she throws in a "-neesan" or some other honorific though. I wouldn't be surprised if there was one in there and they didn't bother to translate it to an English equivalent.

I think its just Kagome with no honorific. Saying a person's name without an honorific, though can be insulting, is actually the establishment of intimacy or closeness. Japanese kids that I've met usually either call me onee-san or just my name with no honorific.

I think if its anything its Kagome. While she has respect for Sesshomaru, i think its because she's been introduced to him as "Lord Sesshomaru" in a childish mind She probably calls people by what they have told her is their name. Ie. Inuyasha, would be Inuyasha, or perhaps Hanyou, or Half-breed b/c of what Sesshomaru might say, Jaken b/c he has no title, etc.

As for Kagoem, realistically, I think she refers to her as "the girl/woman that travel's with Lord Sesshomaru's brother" or "Inuyasha's miko" i personally understand the manga's too big to look up small detail info. I guess depending on how much you want to make your story canon i would go with something Sesshomaru might call Kagome. As it wouldnt be her name, and he wouldn't call her Lady anything.

I see where you're coming from r0o. I had her refer to Inuyasha already as 'the filthy hanyou', in a perfect Sesshoumaru tone to boot.
