Kagome's Scar - From Removal of the Shikon 9 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 57
Right, this might sound like the oddest question.

What shape is Kagome's scar when the Shikon is removed by Mistress Centipede?

I've not read much of the manga or seen the anime of this episode, so I'm not sure what I'm looking for.

I have seen time and again in various fanfictions that it's shaped like a star.

Is it true? And what kind of star?

I'm asking because I'm trying to decide on a design for her as a mermaid. I have the baseline done, but now I am customising it with detailing.

Help would be appreciated.

I actually found myself in that odd part of the internet while searching for that answer for you. Apparently according to one site Kagome doesn't have a scar at all; this site also mentioned her daughter grows up to marry Natruo.... So that one clearly wasn't reliable.

I don't remember the manga mentioning a scar, mind you it has been years since I have read it.
But majority of fics I have read have described it as a starburst shape.

Heya,

Thanks Scar.

Yeah me neither on the anime or manga.

I tried searching for it too, but none of the wikis or such mention a scar.

I'm starting to think it might be a fanon invention rather than being canonical.

A starburst shape?

Hmm, that give me oodles of help.

You have no idea!

Thank you!

I shall incorporate it into Kagome's mer-design somehow. XD.

I keep getting distracted by pretty pictures of koi fish.

They are so mottlely!

Thanks again!

Yeah, I think it was pretty much widely accepted head-cannon by the fandom.

Although, if you think about it, having something ripped from your torso that large would most likely leave a mark of some kind.

No worries, and Koi's are very distracting.

Happy to help!

I have always imagined it looked something like a surfboard after a shark bite if that makes any sense. Maybe like this, www.dokuga.com/images/fbfiles/files/0808_0710_1513_3539.jpg
