I was trying to view the first page of rOo's GM challenge post and it won't display that page it just keeps reloading page 2. I thought it might just be that one thread so I tried several others and kept getting the same results. It might just be a problem on my end, but I was wondering if anyone else was having the same problem?

Which Gm challenge? i have i think 8 now? some of the older one's got a bit mucky when our system's server had issues about 18months ago - 2 years ago. many OLDER threads have this issue. :/

no problem! though Current Gm challenge seems to work fine for me. perhaps you need to clean your c0okies. I always have a link to the current GM challenge in my forum tag. if you're ever looking for it!

that might be the issue. the newest versions of IE are generally against Dokuga. :/ not to say that they REFUSE to work, just that they are wonky

You are probably right. I've been ignoring those dang update notices for awhile now and haven't had any problems with forums or anything, but hubby's been online the past few days so he probably updated the stupid thing. Thanks for your help rOo. Since I can't get the first page to load is there anyway you can either re-post the rules or maybe send them to me? I was thinking about giving the challenge a try

Since this issue was brought up, I feel that I should mention that I've seen several instances of Dokugans not being able to view the first page of a thread. Most recently, Cakeiton in the Sept DDN thread. I actually had to quote the entire first post to her onto the last page of the thread in order for her to see it. It's an interesting problem... but not one that I've been experiencing. I just thought that I would throw this out here as well and maybe try to figure out the problem so it doesn't occur anymore.

Happened to me too. Still happening to me so usually, I'm not so involved in the forums as I'd like to be... Oh well. I use Chrome if that helps anybody with figuring this out.

Is everybody on IE having issues with this, or all browsers?

Now, some threads have posts that are out of order. Twice now the server has gone wonky and reset the time, and when it was fixed it threw forum pages way out of order, so in many, the first post is acttually on the second page, or five posts down, etc.

At the same time, if it's another issue, we don't have a programmer yet, though we're looking into it. Miss K did all of the programming herself. I have the ftp access info on an external back up not attached to this computer...was never on this computer, but as somebody with no programming experience out of high school computers (back when we programmed on DOS no and worked with a new copy of windows 3.1) I haven't tried to even go in cause I'm unsure of what I'm looking for adn dont' want to meddle with the site.

So if it is a programming issue, unfortunately we'll just have to be patient until we can find a candidate we feel is fully qualified and capable of using code created by Miss K...or when Miss K returns herself.

I've never had that problem that I can remember. Not when I'm on my personal computer that has FF- the latest version, or when I'm at work- which is unfortunately IE9...I think that's the newest. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the programming. =/

I have firefox and haven't had any problems.
