I have come to a cross roads. I already have the next story, which is an alternate for one of my current stories: His Will. The problems lies in what story I will be writing after that one. There are two options, and I like both of them but I'm holding off on making the decision. Mostly because I don't know which one to do first.

1. Kagome is thrown further back in time and loses her memory (reasons to be explained later in the story) and is found by Izayoi and is taken with Izayoi to the house of the west. The only thing she remembers in the name Sesshoumaru and what he basically looks like.

2. Set in the future, during a territory war in space. Kagome is the only member of an operations team on a free orbiting supply satellite which borders on the war zone. She only has three months left at her post before she is moving from active duty. When a ship from the enemy side appears asking for help.

I want to hear your opinions, because they are both epic in their own rights. I just don't know... I'm being indecisive because I don't want to put either on the back burner but it seems three stories at a time is my limit.

Simply because I'm a history buff, my preference would be Kagome going farther back in time. And the amnesia angle could prove lots of fun.

Although...a futuristic warrior Kagome could also make very interesting reading.

Decisions, decisions...do either of them come easier to you than the other? I've had issues with my own writing where I start on one project, but all I can think about is the other one. If that helps you make up your mind, run with it.

They both come pretty easily. I have a pretty good idea for the flow of both, it would just be adding in the small events that trigger the big ones. I suppose it wouldn't matter so much if I just played on chance but I wanted to see what people would think.

So the score is now 1/0 Past is leading.

i believe you could do either fantastically. though i'm kinda more prone to forgetful past kagome, then future kagome , but i like both ideas...

I love both story ideas but like r0o and laenfante I vote for past Kagome just because I tend to prefer more canon-ish stories

I like number 2. I read a nice futuristic book and my mind has been wandering with lots of possibilities. Not that scenario in specific... but yeah

Hmm, well to say I didn't expect something like this. This won't become official until I finish updating tomorrow. So we'll just have to see what happens.

I'm leaning towards number 2. I want to see your twist to a futuristic story.

Futuristic, there are so few out here. It would be a change of pace. Be different!!

I'll give this until midnight. Since I might still throw up a one shot later today if I can get over being so tired. Who knows. It's really close though. Dreamt about some interesting things for both of them in one. Though, I've thought about doing a two sides of the coin story. Write them back to back, as a two in one kinda thing. I don't know how I would connect them though. Well, I'll wait to think on that till I've had some sleep.

I like the idea of her going back further and forgetting. If she regained her memories in bits, she wouldn't realize that she'd have to be careful with what she said til much later, possibly after some damage was done. I like those kind of stories, where you have to make the story go, but have to work to keep her history cannon.

Not to much longer and the order of my stories for the foreseeable future will be set. How horrible it must be, to have everything so planned out. I mean that by the way. It's not always my favorite thing to do but it needs to be done from time to time.

I know this is way too late. But he past one sound awesome. I'm sure either would be awesome, I'm just a sucker for the whole further in the past thing, and you have a interesting twist going on.

So it looks like we have a winner.

Now to just get to it. Still got a while before you see that one though. Depends on what I finish, though we probably won't see it until after I finish the Alternate of my current work His Will. So it will be a couple months. By then though I should have a good plan for it. So everything should be fine.

When I am at a loss with what story I am going to do next, what I do is pick up a pen and a piece of paper and do some free writing activity. It would be that simple and I would just write whatever thing I have on mind continuously without giving an effort to write about something that I am thinking of.

That goes that you are to do what is the dominant theme in what you just wrote.

The space idea is pretty cool and a very unique idea but I'm leaning towards #1. lol I just love it when Kagome loses her memory and Sesshomaru is forced to help her piece it all together. lol LOVE IT!
