Any ways, it starts with Kagome, who is mute, witnessing Naraku and one of his goons murder someone in a back alley somewhere. They leave without realizing she's there. Sesshoumaru is the detective assigned to the case and he is able to communicate with Kagome because his brother at home is deaf and so he learned sign language. He takes her home with him to protect her and she meets Inuyasha and learns that he is deaf because someone who was against hanyou cut off his ears, and though they grew back because of his heritage, his hearing did not return.
Umm... I think thats it, or at least as far as I read. So what do you think, does it sound familiar?
