It's a legit thing... www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/kenmore-baking-for-the-troops-program-sends-cookies-to-us-armed-forces-deployed-overseas-111183589.html
since nothing is really required and it would probably make someones day, why not sign up for it? It's a good cause!

Fun fact: All writers are crazy, to some degree. There is a reason for it -- actually making it through a novel almost requires it. If you love to read, then you\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'re continually benefitting from other people\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s craziness.-From Cracked

I already do that for friends and family overseas. Load up boxes with cookies encased in bubble wrap. They DON'T last long! I think my last shipment lasted about an hour and a half... LOL! The whole barracks descended upon them like locusts according to my friend.

Alot of times just a letter can completely make a soldier's day. For many of them the military is their only family and mail call with no mail is HARD on them!

Other organizations to look into is the Blue Star Mothers, TroopAid and the USO They all send care packages overseas to soldiers that otherwise would probably not get anything.

Uh... can you tell I grew up in a military family?
