Are we allowed to post pictures of our families on our profiles?

Honestly, I don't see a problem why not...Individualize your profile and make it unique w/ pictures of you loved ones

Actually, there IS a problem...

While some would be inclined to seek permission from their loved ones to display their images on a freely accessed website, others would not. In addition, we run into the problem of people wishing to post photos of their boyfriends, best friends, second cousins twice removed... you get the idea.

It is difficult now for the three Site Administrators to keep track of monitoring the fan fiction stories being posted, the fan art, the forum postings, the chat and the occasional inappropriate picture posting to profiles. To attempt to monitor ALL the pictures posted to the profiles would amount to a huge undertaking.

Thus, please, only post pictures of your own image on your profiles. In addition, please use your common sense and good taste to ensure that what is posted on your profile is of a K or K+ nature. Profiles are readily accessible by minors, so please keep things relatively sedate!!

EDIT: Obviously, this does not hold true for pictures of the family pets. Just don't try to make us believe that your kids qualify as "pets," okay?

I dunno...sometimes the pets are more well behaved than the kids...

I'm surprised that the question hadn't been addressed before, honestly.

Truthfully, I'm surprised as well. It could be happening already, but we haven't had it arise... with over 4,000 members, it would be horribly difficult to patrol all the profiles, y'know?

Now that the question is out in the open, however, I do hope that my good friends (and minions... apparently, I have minions somewhere? ) will let one of the admins know if they come across anything of this nature.
