Time

by: The_Beautifully_Disasterous_Chibi

She had left him.

Like the blossoms that had risen in the spring, she was faced the harsh winter of years passed; this time she did not last.

It was inevitable, he knew but hoped time would not pass; time is not stopped but was followed, like the currents of a mighty river unchangeable in its course.

Time feared none and answered to none; not even him. It would not bend in face of his rage, regret its theft, and sympathize with his loss, his sadness and grief.

Time had given him moments of happiness that were priceless; unforgettable.

Now Time was giving him moments of agony that were once again encasing his tender and fragile heart in a shield of ice.

The people around him could see it, the change in him, his heart was dying with her in a way he could not.

Honor, Duty, Responsibilities, once an unthinkable expense paled in comparison to her love; so freely given, without thought of consequence.

He would give it all up, for one more moment of happiness with his light, the one that had thawed his icy heart, given him joy, laughter.

Joy and laughter had turned to pain and anguish in her absence.

The people new he would soon follow her, the pain of a torn soul to much to bear. They found in one morning atop her grave, under the God tree's shade, a look of peace in his face.

A fallen angel, face serene, released from the burden of pain with the knowledge she awaited him. She waited in a place where time could not separate them; pain was not even given a thought.

She had waited

He saw her at the bridge of the after life; full of strength and life once again, her appearance was that of her prime age. The smile she gave him erased all the pain of time; brought back his joy his laugh.

They walked hand in hand, where he did not know, but as long as she and he were together, hell could be a place called home.

The people buried his body, a shell that his soul had shed to reach its mate, next to her, under the tree of ages that would for all time be the witness to there love from beginning to end.

Through time their story was told, fact turned to fiction, fiction to fable, fable to legend, and legend to myth. Until Time had passed and none but the tree remembered their love and its plight. Many thought still visit the sight were there laid a tomb stone which reads:

"Love is patient; love is kind

and envies no one.

Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude;

never selfish, not quick to take offense.

There is nothing love cannot face;

there is no limit to its faith,

its hope, and endurance.

In a word, there are three things

that last forever: faith, hope, and love;

but the greatest of them all is love."

A/N: Well that was not like anything I have ever written. I like it though any way hope you like. Please review if you want this to be continue as a series of drabbles and one-shots based on a word if you have a word please send it to me as well, and I'll write it up as soon as I can.
