Fuchui by Massao-na-Mizu

Prologue

Fuchui

careless; to be careless

"You little slut," I bit out at her, glaring daggers at her swaying form. She glared at me defiantly, her cerulean blue eyes flashing angrily at me.

She did it again-Insult me. I have told her off several times. I have never promised her to be committed. I do not love her, but because I have made her pregnant and she was forced to give birth to my child, she is my responsibility as of my child and my priority as well. I am not one to ignore nor put down my responsibilities.

I brought this upon myself by not being careful now I am punished.

"You man slut! You have no right to call me a slut because you are the one bedding every girl thrown upon you!" She spat. So... she was jealous again. I never promised to be faithful or loyal to our relationship.

She is simply my child's mother as I am simply Rin's father. She has not right to tell me what to do.

"I never gave you my word of being faithful and nor did you." I hissed coldly. Her fists clenched even more.

Even though she was angry, she looked quite attractive as her long luscious hair fell to her shoulders and hiding her buttocks and her skimpy house dress showed off her flawless legs, I though smugly that I did not choose wrong.

"And yet you reprimand every time I am into a relationship." She shot back and I narrowed my eyes.

How dare she! I was just looking out for her common good! What if she got pregnant again out of wedlock? I will not be held responsible for her child even as she carried my name. Even as it was legalized for her t use my name, she always introduced herself as a Higurashi.

Was she ashamed to admit I was the father of her child?

Was she ashamed that I had married her?!

I refuse to believe this. I refuse to believe that for my whole life, the woman I would mary would be the one to defy me. I refuse to believe that I am held down by our marriage contract.

"You are a woman. You can give birth. I cannot--therefore I have nothing to lose, but all to gain."

She glared at me again, flipping her hair when it went to her face. "I am not as ignorant as you think." She said, smacking the vase and making it shatter to pieces. I glared at her again, stepping forward with two long strides and slapping her across her face.

She fell to her knees as she held her cheek where I had slapped her hard.

"A man that hits a woman has no balls." She muttered under her breath, leaving me to ponder if she meant me to overhear. I did not reply and kneeled as well, cupping her chin with my hand, glaring at her.

"You will do as you are told as long as you are in my dominance." I said. She encircled my wrist with her hands and dug her nails into my skin. I did not pay it heed as blood poured out of my skin and dripped to the floor and marring her fingers.

"Give me a reason," she began shakily as my hand left her chin and encircled and creamy neck, tightening every-so-slightly. "And I shall leave you and Rin. You shall be free and so would I." She gritted her teeth and lifted her chin a bit, daring me. I let go of her neck and let her cough from the lost of air.

"If you do, it will still be your loss. You love Rin, don't you? And who will you run back to? Have you forgotten? Your family has shunned you." I said coldly and I felt her stiffen, the atmosphere changing as she abruptly got up and quickly, but efficiently slapped me.

"BASTARD!!!" She shouted, pumping her small fists to my chest. I held her fists and looked at her tear-stained face. She looked so crush...so alone...

For once, I felt something for her more than anger, regret or remorse... It was not exactly love... but still, a tender emotion...

I held her close, her face to my chest as she sobbed, her thin arms snaking to my stomach and to my back as her small, dainty hands reached my shoulders and clutched the material of my garment tightly.

"Shhh..." I murmured, kissing her fragrant, soft hair many times and stroking her hair as my other hand made small circles on her back. "All is going to be alright..."

I kissed her forehead and led her to our bed... making her lay there and pulling the covers to her chest and joining her as she curled herself to me, clutching my shirt by one hand and my shoulder with her other. We slept peacefully... for the first time in weeks...

AUTHOR'S NOTES:

There are five meanings for the word Careless. Only two are most relevant.

The first one is not giving careful attention to the details of something

The second is showing no concern: disregarding or showing no concern about something

Being careless means losing the ones to you love. This is the beginning of a story motivated and inspired by this word.
