Well...Third story man I need to learn to type more and look at my Spelling and Grammar at all times! I'm in need of a beta for this new story to help me with making the story longer and...well at least a little more exciting So...without further Adieu I give you this new story...^^

Chapter 1: Meeting a new friend

Everyone sat by the camp fire while she told the human and youkai orphans stories while gazing at the bright twinkling stars.

"...and the prince grabbed the princess and told her..."she said, leaving the children in suspense. She observed how the children were so involved in the story that she forgot it was their bed time.

"Nani? What did the prince tell the pretty princess?" asked one of the orphans named Rin. She had a checkered kimono and a pony tail in one end of her black, medium hair. At the side stood another orphan, youkai it seemed also wondering about the same question.

"So what happened to the prince and the princess? Did they fall in love?" asked a little human girl named Nadina (Made up girl Duh XD) who appeared out of the bushes.

Kagome already knowing that the girl was there because of her youkai's sensitive nose asked the mystery girl, "and who might you be little one?" she asked seeing her pout. She chuckled a little and turned to face her yet again.

"Hmmm! I'm Nadina! I'm the daughter of a youkai daddy and mommy who are the lords of the Northern Lands on were you all now stand!" she said proudly seeing as the others admired and she could also sense the sadness coming from others except the one she was speaking to' hmm she is a pretty lady and these are a lot of kids wonder if they like to play...?' She had black small hair that reached her shoulders and a very fancy white and blue Kimono with symbol of the Northern Lands. She was lost in deep thought until Kagome snapped her out of it.

"Oh well let me introduce myself my name is Kagome a Miko Inu-youkai and these children are orphans which are now traveling with me..."she answered and at seeing the confused look on her face she spoke up." Don't worry their just sad that you made them re-live a hurtful memory..." she said while leaving a shocked child.

"Oh? Well what did I do? Did I do something bad?" she asked very worried.

"Oh no child it wasn't you it was the Northern Lands apparently the Northern Lands declared war against the South were most of these children lived and during the war their parents...well...Lets just say they got caught in the Cross Fire..."She said leaving a very shocked and full of pity of a girl 'She shouldn't feel pity towards them...they have to live through these experiences to become strong' she mused to herself.

"Oh...Gomen..."she said in a whisper while radiating sadness forms her aura

"Hey! Why are you sad? There's no reason to be I mean it wasn't your fault your family destroyed ours..."spoke up a little youkai, a kitsune with big green eyes and reddish hair, and a fluffy tail.

"My...family...did all this...to you?" Nadina radiated even more sadness and shame after hearing that her proud parents killed lives of both human and youkai family and the children were left behind.

"There's no need to be sad Nadina-Chan because...we have a new okaa-san so there's no need to feel sorry for us!" in spoke up happy that a new girl had arrived.

"Well Rin, Shippo and the rest of you...its time to sleep" she said to the children. Personally Kagome was getting tired and the rest of the kids too.

"Awwww! Do we have tooo??"All the children whined at the same time.

"Hai you do. You, My bundles of joy need to go to sleep or your going to be tired when we get up to travel yet again" Kagome clearly stated to everyone of the kids. "Oh and Nadina?" she said gaining the attention of the girl." You have to go to your family little one...They must be worried" she said looking at the disappointment in her face. "Oh but don't worry! If you come early we might finish the story" she hesitated but at seeing her bright smile she calmed herself.

"Alright! I'll hold you to that!" she said leaving the camp site and also leaving an amused and smirking Kagome.

"I'm sure you will" she said chuckling and singing a lullaby so that the children could sleep. She grabbed a bear pelt, from a bear she hunted for food and for the fur and put it over the children. She slowly invited the sleep to her while keeping her senses on alert for any kind of danger.

It was a really hot morning and Kagome just got up from the trees hearing with her sensitive ears that the little youkai girl had come back.

'Hmm I didn't she would've bothered showing up since we aren't nobility or anything of the sort Oh well like my mother used to say 'Never judge a book by its cover' she mused to herself while the girl finally reached them.

"Hi!" She shouted really loud almost waking the children up. Apparently she didn't notice that the children were still sleeping since it was the crack of Dawn.

"Shh" Kagome said with a scowl on her face. "Don't be so loud the children are still sleeping" she whispered into her ear.

"Oh sorry I forgot I was just so excited" she said with a tinge of pink in her pale cheeks.

"Oh? And why is that?" she said. Someday her curious nature was going to get her in trouble.

"It's because Daddy told This Nadina that he wanted to know my friends and invite them to the 'The Demon Lord's Gala' wanna come?" she asked innocence written all over her face.

"Oh...really?" she said nervously. 'Kuso! I knew my curiosity was going to get me in a huge amount of trouble!' "Well umm...I'd have to ask the kids if they wanted to go when they awaken and in the night come by here to finish the story 'Kay?" she said ignoring the fact that she was very, very nervous about this.

"Umm that can happen since the Gala is going to be tomorrow and Daddy wants to see all of you today now!" she shouted while whining. That's when she noticed that everyone got up while hearing her shout out and immediately hung her head in shame. "Sorry..."she said.

"She inwardly sighed "Oh well what's done is done no use crying over spilt milk now...since you all of you are awake now you may go to your adoptive parents now minus you two since your always with me" she started looking at Shippo and Rin.

"You two we have to go to the Northern Lord's Castle since Nadina-Chan considered us friends and wants us to go to a Gala now wont that be fun?" she said with a big grin plastered in her face.

"Is a Gala like a party Kagome-Chan?" Rin curiously asked.

"Well Kind of Rin-Chan but more formal since a lot of important people will be there." she answered Rin's question.

"O-Kay so what will we wear Kagome?" asked Shippo while looking between Kagome and Nadine happy to be with his adopted mother.

"Hmm good question..."she muttered to herself "So...what are we going to wear?" she asked looking at Nadina.

"Well whatever Daddy recommends as a Kimono so come on were wasting time!" she demanded.

"Alright Shippo transform into your globe pink thingy and Rin you come up my back" she ordered the two children.

They both turned to her and said"O-Kay!" in unison.

"Alright Nadina lead the way she said" jumping in the air while Nadina was running in land and she was practically soaring in the sky watching her. 'What an interesting little neko (Oh right did I forget to say that sorry!) youkai she is wonder how the Northern Lords Castle will be like' she wondered as she soared through the clouds with Rin squealing with joy.
