Hmm...I don't think I reviewed this story last time I read through it. I was quite happy to find a new chapter, though.

Although it's sad, I like how you made Jaken have something in common with Kagome so that he would show her a little something other than malice. Most fics paint Jaken as the sniveling toad who hates Kagome, and as much as I sometimes think to agree...I kinda like Jaken. Poor guy gets a bad wrap. LOL.

Anyway, I hope Shippo and Kagome find each other again...I kind of suspect that the kit isn't exactly dead.

I look forward to your next update. :)

I am very, very intrigued to find out why Kagome is mute... maybe it has to do with a lot of suffering... Inuyasha choosing Kikyo, going to hell with Kikyo... her friends dying in the fight with Naraku, the well closing up after the jewel is gone... any one of these things could be part or all of the cause... any ways... I can't wait to find out!

P.S. I love Sesshoumaru's concern in this chapter. Isn't it nice to have someone be willing to listen, but not try to force it out of you... points for Sess.

leave it to someone to make her angry to get her to speak. extreme trauma can cause someone to shut off... the example of rin when he first met him, the loss of her family the trauma of the wolf attack. i am curious about what happened to her and shippo, it would be nice to see her reunited (if possible) with the kit, one would think that it would do her a world of good.
