Description:
Kagome knelt beside the dog demon. He ignored her, as usual, and continued to stare up at the sky placidly. The human girl's blue eyes slowly slid over the gorgeous demon, her mind whirling. She swallowed over the lump that wedged itself in her throat from both his beauty and her inner pain.
"Why are you here?" His silky, deep voice cut in.
Kagome blinked and returned her attention on the demon. He continued to impassively survey the sky disinterestedly - he was like a stunning statue and made her question if she had imagined hearing his voice.
Licking her lips, she replied shakily, "I need to talk to you."
The dog demon's snorted softly, his eyes sliding closed, exposing the red markings on his eyelids. They then languidly opened, those golden gems icily regarding her.
"About what, girl?" Sesshoumaru demanded flatly.
Silence deafened the air. Kagome stared into Sesshoumaru's stunning face, her heart clenching at the shuttered iciness in his stare, his flawless features stony. Her eyes watering, her head dipped down to hide her pained gaze beneath her thick black bangs. She couldn't let him see how much of a hold he had on her. He didn't need or want to know.
Hesitantly, she whispered, "I like you, Sesshoumaru."
The dog demon regarded the small human before him flatly. Her small frame shook as she knelt before him, her shoulders hunched forwards, her small hands crumpling her skirt material in their trembling grasp. Her black hair hung around her face as if to shield her from his rejection. Sesshoumaru inwardly scoffed at the girl's words. She liked him? She barely knew him. She knew nothing of him. His gold eyes flashed and mentally her sneered.
He turned his face away and stared at the sky stonily.
"You are foolish, girl, to offer me your heart. I have no interest in your attention. Your affection would be better directed on the hanyou or the wolf." He stated coldly.
A thick, heavy silence fell upon them. His words said in his delicious, deep voice echoed in her head. Kagome wanted to yell at him she already knew that. That she already knew he did not care for her and that she was wasting her time. That she was well aware that she was hoping for something that could never be. Her heart twisted in her chest. But she couldn't help it. She loved him. She could not see or think of anyone else.
A lone tear dripped down her face. She then raised her face exposing her broken expression to his flat golden stare.
"Hai. I know. But I can't help it. You are the one my heart sees." She said with a smile, hot tears sliding down her cheeks.
Sesshoumaru looked back at her with his usual deadpan expression. His eyes then closed and he looked away.
"Then you are as idiotic as the rest of your kind." He snapped back dryly.
Then it happened. Kagome lunged forward and wrapped her arms around the dog demon. Her face burrowing against his chest, she stared down, not daring to look up at his expression. She felt him stiffen in her hold. Biting her bottom lip to the point blood gathered, she tightened her hold on him.
"I will never give up, Sesshoumaru. You are all I want. I know beneath your frigidness there is a heart that can be touched. I want to melt the icy shield you live in and warm it. I will never stop trying!" She almost shouted.
Sesshoumaru's eyes widened ever so slightly. He stared down at the girl who wrapped herself around him, clinging onto him almost desperately. He slowly blinked. Inwardly, he battled with himself. His honor and pride demanded that he remove the human girl from his person and reprimand her for her disrespect by touching him. Yet an alien, foreign feeling seemed to simmer deep within him to let her hold him. Her gentle scent of vanilla and sakura wafted in his nose and he found himself actually not disgusted by it.
Her small body shook against his. He raised a claw and, with out understanding why, placed it on top of her head.

Just a random picture I thought of and a short story I wrote with it. Maybe one day I'll write this story XD It's an ugly doodle... I wanted an excuse to draw Sess and Kag in school uniforms >.>
