My loyalty, my revenge
Picture information
Description:
This is a small idea that I wanted to let go of since I have too many stories. So, this was the best way to do it.
Enjoy!
Sesshomaru sat, his mind swirling with the events of the past day.
He had been captured by humans.
Since when was he so weak? No, he was not weak but before the betrayal of his kind, the youkai, he had been severely wounded. He thought he would suffer the same fate as his great father: killed by a youkai trying to save a woman. However, he knew their tales will never be the same. Rin was not his woman, but his ward, and he had not saved her.
She was killed!
Anger swelled within him. He had no time to play with these monks. How dare they trap him? Seal his powers? But…the most disturbing thing was…how they managed to subdue a taiyoukai like him?
Tired and hungry he decided to take this time to recover. Later he will escape them and return to get his revenge, to avenge his Rin.
Soft footsteps alerted him to the presence of another. As he studied its aura he was aware that it was but a simple monk. He eyed away from the human, he had no need or fear of him.
The monk reached his side and stubbornly remained for a few minutes. His impatience grew when he was not acknowledged and at the end the holy man decided to start the conversation, “Lord of the West,” the monk said respectfully and from the corner of his eye Sesshomaru could see him bowing, “We are in need of your assistance.”
Sesshomaru growled. Was this the way to ask?
The monk stood straight and continued, unafraid. “We need you to train our youngest priestess.”
This time Sesshomaru did glance at the man. The man had dark hair and unusual purple eyes. His robes were humble and they didn’t possess anything he could use to know the man’s loyalties, “Youkai do not train priestesses. We are enemies,” the taiyoukai stated simply.
The monk nodded knowingly, “It is true, but we ask for you to reconsider. She’s out of our league and understanding. Only a being with equal amount of a power, such as a taiyoukai, like you could take her and help her the right way. We would return your powers to you when her training is complete, ten years from now.”
Sesshomaru closed his eyes and smirked, “What makes you think this Sesshomaru will do such a thing? What makes you think you can overpower this Sesshomaru? These wards are nothing against this Sesshomaru.”
The monk opened his eyes knowingly, “You may try, but you won’t free yourself from the wards. It’s infused with the youngest priestess’s blood.”
Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes. He pushed the youki he had into his hands, but his poisonous whip didn’t roar to life. He was simply tired, he reasoned…or was he? Sesshomaru frowned uncertainly.
“She will vanquish all youkai,” the monk said with a grin, “They will ravage our towns, crops and woman no more.”
Sesshomaru looked up at the man in front of him, “What makes you think she will maintain her loyalty to your Holy Temple? She will be trained by a youkai.”
The monk grinned, “She will.”

Sometime later Sesshomaru heard the rustle of movement nearby and he opened his golden eyes in time to see a young, raven haired girl with sparkling blue eyes stand in front of him. The hair behind of his neck stood when he realized he had not heard or felt her coming until she was upon him.
“Monk-sama said you will train me,” the girl asked with a small smile. Her eyes were full of curiosity and wonder at his inhuman appearance, but she kept her stare respectfully short, “My name is Kagome.”
Sesshomaru watched the offered hand but refused to shake it. It was a human behavior and he was not to fall on those. “Come here,” he instructed.
The young miko did as told and remained impassive as he trapped her within his stronger arms. He inspected her face and pushed a little of his youki into her. To his surprise the youki was purified before it even reached her. “You will be my weapon,” the taiyoukai stated pleasantly.
The girl giggled, “I will be your student”, she corrected with a shy glance.
The taiyoukai nodded and set her on her feet. “We will begin tomorrow. Go rest.” The girl squealed and immediately did as told, but Sesshomaru stayed and glanced up at the dark sky.
In ten years, his enemies will suffer, and his revenge will be complete. He will show those how thought humans weak. Rin, was not weak, neither was Kagome.
Kagome.

Hmm, why don't you put the text in the Borrowed Muse thread too.
