Coming back. Grand father is sick

First fanfiction. I missed this one, so I took the job to my hands. I am not so good in English. Please fell free to correct me. Please read and review! I don't own any of this: Inuyasha or My little bride.

Sesshoumaru was returning to Japan after 5 years of studies and work into one of the largest companies around USA. It was not a wonder that the young taiyoukai would be one of the most successful businessman of his time. Truthfully he was heir to the Taisho’s Enterprise , which had business around the globe with the most different approaches, as so with hotels, entertainment and technology, but he actually was developing a new strategically way of closing deals, leading to researches around Strategic Administration. He became a great developer of Economics and Administration during his studies around the world, gaining name and reputation for his continuous analysis of the actual reality of one company.

At USA, he taught a subject at the best business school with a scholarship for him develop his researches around administration and economics during all the development of capitalism in the oriental society. He gained knowledge to open his own company of consulting companyto new and old investors, or to teach, in general, how to proceed in this new land of investment and free circulation of money and products.

He grew up wonderfully far from home. 5 years. But a urgent call was the factor that brought him back. His grandfather’s best friend, Sosoka Higurashi, was about to die. He and his grandfather fought together during the war, and was saved by the human. Since then the two families have grown attached, like they were only one. The Taisho family has seen the birth of the rest of Higurashi’s linage. At the time, Touga Taisho have already had Inu no Taisho, who was mated to Inukimi, and had Sesshoumaru.

When the Higurashi’ son, Takega married Sakura, Inu no Taisho was about to marry his second mate; Izayoi Hime. Soon, Kagome Higurashi was born the same time Inuyasha also came to the world. Sesshoumaru smirked at that. The two families have grown together. And the elders have worked hard for that to happen. He remembered the time his grandfather dragged him to the hospital to see the birth of Kagome.

She was such a beautiful baby. He was about 8 in human years when he saw those big blue eyes looking directly at him. And he was dead stuck that moment. He couldn’t move, afraid that those eyes were ever living him to cope with the world alone. There was light and pureness irradiating from her. She smelled like happiness. There was no other word to describe her. But not far away, his baby brother came from his stepmother.

He felt it so strange at the beginning how his father now had two mates. But now he understood the meaning of this; Inu Kimi and Izayoi Hime were soul sisters, so there was no other way then the way fate and the gods have worked this unusual relationship to be. Was he going to be like this? He actually hoped not. There was too much trouble in his father house with two mates to direct one’s life.

He remembered the day his father died. He got sick during one of his travels. This time his adventure took him to the extremes of earth; just to see how the sun rises in the poles. He got into a big fight with a demon that lived there and felt himself challenged for territory with the presence of the Taisho. Needless to say that the battle ended bad. Kagome, been so young, didn’t know what happened, but felt that something was wrong. Inu-grandpapa was not around anymore, and she cried for him, she called him. And he came.

That was the time that the two families discovered that Kagome was a miko. Taisho came to her and said that everything was ok, and he found peace. She said it to all, and even talked to him in front of everyone, actually thinking that he was by her side, not in the other world. That calmed everyone’s heart, specially his.

He was 13 and she was 5. Such a long amount of time. But the difference of age never became an obstacle for those two. They were fast friends, and all was ok. Inuyasha, Souta, Kagome and Sesshoumaru were like brothers and sister. Best friends for life. Same Schools, same sports, same love, same Sunday lunch.

But Sesshoumaru didn’t want to live under his family’s wing. He wanted to study and do so much more aside the usual. So he went to study abroad. His last visit was 5 years ago. When he was 18. The only one that made extra effort to talk to him almost every day was Kagome. She always sent letters, made phone calls and actually visited him when in London. Her face was always refreshment. She always brought so much joy. Not that he would actually admit it. Never. But he has not seen her in 3 years, even if he talked to her just yesterday. Time flies.

After her call, his father made another. The elder Higurashi had fainted during the daily pray and was at the hospital. The man was old for a human, and would not have so much time. It would be god if Sesshoumaru returned to support the Higurashis.

That was why he was returning to Japan. He looked again at the young teenager in the photo at his hand and signed. Those big blue eyes were what he missed the most. Too bad he would see then in such a sad circumstance.

“Prepare for landing. The Airlines thank you for the preference and hopes to see you soon”

He has already sent his complete baggage to Taisho’s Mansion. What he had in his hands was the hand baggage with some personal devices, personal hygiene and two changes of clothes. He was moving to Japan for good. He had warned al of his contacts about the transference.

Where was everybody? He believed that someone would be taking him to home. But he couldn’t smell any of his relatives. He walked down that huge room that was the landing trying to find some known smell. It was when he felt it.

Purity, lighting, spring. Happiness.  She was the one to come for him. Wonderful. He expected to be a little bit latter, but he wasn’t complaining. At the flower shop, he found her bent down smelling some orchids. He knew her favorite flower to be nadeshikos. He should have bought one.

Sesshoumaru took his phone out. While passing the young miko, he let it fall behind her and continued to walk away.

Kagome arrived to the airport earlier than she expected. But she wanted to be early just in case Sesshoumaru arrived in another flight and she was mixing up the hours, or the flight, or the companies, etc. She was anxious.

It’s been 3 years since she visited him. She was about to be 16 now and she have wanted him here to her birthday, but was too shy to ask him to come. Although he had said to call him any time she wanted to see him, she didn’t expect he would come just to her birthdays. Next week was her 16. She missed her best friend. Too much.

Passing to a flower shop she wondered if Sesshoumaru would be willing to accept one. She laughed at that. Sesshoumaru hated those flower. Always smelling too much to comfort, or never smelling at all because of the products. She bent down to sniff one of the flowers, never paying attention to which one, when she heard a “clunk” on the floor.

It was a cellphone. She looked around to find the owner and recognized the beautiful clean white hair, moving while the figure walked. She recognized that strong built up back. She smiled, but she wouldn’t play like he wanted.

She knew he expected her to be that joyful little girl that followed him around all the time and would jump to his back. ‘You think that you have another fan? You won’t see it coming.’ She aimed and kicked the phone to Sesshoumaru and waited the answer.

“You shouldn’t kick it like this. It is my phone.” he said turning around fast forgetting his evil deed planned.

“You think that I would know? See if I care. You just acted like some pervert. Taking pictures of my panties or trying to initiate some conversation while I would be giving your phone back. Which one?” She fumed with a frown in her face and hands on her hips.

He admired her for a brief moment. She know had long black hair, almost to her hips. Her bangs wasn’t hiding her beautiful eyes anymore. Seems that she actually built up some self-steam. Finally. He was beginning to get worried about her. All the miko thing in a youkai school as taking its tool in her. But know he couldn’t phantom why she was so insecure anymore. Her body language said it all. ‘I know how to defend myself and I am not afraid’. He got proud.

“Kagome! I didn’t see it was you.” He approached her with calm passes and saw how she eyes got a little bit sad while she taught that he didn’t recognized her. “But you will have to forgive me. You finally have grown out of your awkward faze” He gesture toward her boobs and she got those cute red checks that he always found amusing.

“Oh, Gosh! Would you shut up already?! Let us go! Granps want to see us soon. He said he wanted to tell you something that your grandfather told him a long time ago. I hope you lose your heritance. HAha. I will laugh so much when you see that Inuyasha was the favorite after all.”

“And leave your husband without a penny in his name? How will I pay for your 30 bedroom house, with a pool of jell - o and one pony for each guest? And what about your swing? Our 11 children? I don’t want to think of Rin, Inuyasha and Souta without a home like that!” h smirked to himself remembering those childhood plays he used to have wit Kagome. He now admired his work on her. Her cheeks became so much more read than he thought was possible. So amusing. She gets embarrassed so quickly. He missed the sight.

“That was years ago! How can you take some child play like that in the middle of people? You are embarrassing me! Gods! Why you have to do that? We were children! Of course I wanted to play house!” She stormed out of the flower shop.

She walked away swinging her hips and hair. She grew beautifully. The most beautiful of all. He signed. He should have kept away.

“My son is back! Welcome home!” yelled Inukimi down the street while running to Sesshoumaru with open arms. She was welcomed with a little grunt and a bow from him.

“Glad to be home, mother” said when he finished paying the taxi that brought him and Kagome.

“So, how was your trip? Not too tiresome, I hope.” Said Takeda Higurashi, who accompanied Inu no Taisho out.

“Fine, thank you, uncle”

“Let’s get in. Your grandfather wants to talk to you” Inu no Taisho helped Sesshoumaru carry his bag and walked Kagome in.

All is relatives entered the shrine and he held Izayoi’s hand. She was human and cared more for the Higurashi family than his mother, spending a lot of time with the family’s elder.

“Why did jii-sama called me so urgently? His situation is really that complicated?”

“I just ask you one thing, Sesshoumaru” his stepmother looked him in the eyes with sorrow and seriously “Brace yourself. Be prepared”

“Souta, Rin, Inuyasha! Sesshoumaru is home!” Sakura Higurashi yelled through the window interrupting the dialog between the two outside the house. The three were fast in the room where Grandfather Higurashi sat in his tatami.

The three woman stayed in one room, across Grandfather Higurashi, sat in the floor while slicing the fruits. Their husbands were just drinking sake and enjoying general conversation.  Souta and Inuyasha were also on the floor, but they were playing button football. Sesshoumaru was beside the elder Higurashi admiring Kagome, who was feeding her grandfather with some soup that he had made while he arranged his stuff in some corner of the shrine. Rin was painting the scene in her notebook.

“How did you like the soup Jii-chan?” Kagome took another full spoon to her grandfather’s mouth and he took it full. “Delicious, right? I made it myself just for you”

“Really tasty, my dear”

Sesshoumaru sat beside Kagome and Higurashi. He admired how caring she was. She has matured a lot during the years, and this side of her got bigger then he could ever imagine. This caring young girl… no. Young woman. She has grown.

Her eyes always shinned when she was making some one happy or making a change in someone’s life. Forever looking for some way to help others. And he knew this for their whole life. She was the most wonderful and selfless person he would ever know. And he really argued with her about this. She should be more selfish some times.

“No one but you can take such a good care of me, Kagome. I am a lucky old man”

“Of course!” She held his hands in hers and looked in his eyes “I am your only granddaughter.”

“You have really grown. Now you look like a lady”

“She may have grown, but she is still a child!” Interrupted Sakura while chopping the apple.

“Hei, I would be married in the old days.” Kagome felt offended that your mother always felt the need to say how much a child she was. Especially in front of Sesshoumaru! So embarrassing! “Right Jii-chan?”

All the women in the room looked into itch other’s eyes. Sosome, Sakura and Inukimi shared a brief eye conversation that was only missed by Kagome. Sesshoumaru watched the change of glances with weary eyes. Soon the women recovered from the surprise and resumed to cut the fruits while paying close attention to the conversation been unfolded. What was happening with then?

“Absolutely! A married woman” Jii-chan was fast happy with her words, even enlightening his face and body. He was excited with her call and would grab the opportunity! He looked to Sesshoumaru beside him. “Come sit here, Sesshoumaru. In front of me, please”

“Yes, Jii-sama” Sesshoumaru positioned himself in front of the elder with his all so known stoic face. Never betraying his thoughts or impressions. Surprisingly , he couldn’t phantom what the old one had to say to him and Kagome. Maybe he was actually dying? Would he pass the shrine to Kagome already and ask him to be the sponsor if something bad happens?

“You two. Hear me out.” He breathed deeply “You may have heard this story before” He turned himself to Kagome “Sesshoumaru’s grandfather was an old friend and war comrade” All the family adjusted themselves better in their sits to hear the story and stopped what they were previously doing. “When we were young, we made a pact… to marry our children”

“But you two had only sons” questioned Kagome, felling strange to hear that story all over again.

“So our pact was passed down to the next generation” Jii-chan said looking behind Kagome and Sesshoumaru, directly to the family. Turning again to the two in front of him he completed “I hope you two can keep this promise.”

“What are you saying?” Kagome, innocently, didn’t understand what Jii-chan was trying to say with that.

“Idiot! Jii-chan wants you to marry the bastard!” Rudely clarified Inuyasha.

Needless to say that there was a death silence cutting the room. Sesshoumaru was in shock. The parents were anxiously waiting for their answer and the children were just looking agape o the development of the things. Certainly Sesshoumaru would say a curt ‘No’ and walk away as if nothing was said at all. But they were surprised.

“Marriage? You must be joking, Jii-sama”

“Marry Sesshoumaru?” laughed Kagome .

“Hei, your grandfather is not joking!” yelled Jii-chan to the two disrespectful children in front of him. How dare they? It was a promise. “I can die peacefully after you two get married. This way I can face Sesshoumaru’s grandfather.”

Sesshoumaru opened his mouth to say something, but was cut by Kagome’s voice.

“How can a High Schooler get married?” Kagome was almost crying. Higurashi signed to his son to complete the line of thinking. He obeyed.

“Anyone over 16 can marry with their parent’s consent”, Takeda carefully explained the situation.

“I haven’t much time left, you know?” falsely cried Jii-chan.

“No, I won’t” Kagome was already fed up with this. Marry? At her age? She wanted a love story. Meet some guy, fall in love, and receive flowers and all the things normal girls her age would be gaining. “Never” She got up and turned her back to the man, storming out of the house.

Sesshoumaru was lost in his own thoughts. Marry Kagome? Sure she was the girl he would want to marry, but not right away. She was much too young. Her school. His life. He was a wanted bachelor. How could him tied the knot before get lost in the world? He wasn’t ready for marriage. But it pained him to hear her say ‘Never’. Was him that undesirable to marry?

“Sorry, Jii-sama. But I will forget what you said” and he also got up and stormed out of the house.

“Hey! He hasn’t finished speaking!” Calles angrily Inu no Taisho, ashamed by the children’s behavior toward the fragile elder. Takeda also asked for forgiveness to his father.
