Ribbons

He could have seen her coming from a mile away. Whether it was the disgustingly bright glittery ribbons atop her head, or the face splitting grin of joy that never faltered, he wasn't sure. One thing sesshoumaru did know, was that he was currently regretting his descision to park infront of his house and not around back.

In his mind he secrambled for a way to escape but there was no hope for him now. the girl had successfully crossed the street and would be within arms length in moments. He tried to hold back a scowl, she looked like a candy cane. A look she had no doubt intended on having. The red and white dress held closely to her form, flaring out just below her hips.

After what was only really a minute, but definately seemed too long, she came to a stop infront of him, and somehow, though it seemed to defy the laws of nature, her grin widened.

"Good afternoon Sesshoumaru!" She piped.

His nose crinkled, she even smelled like pepperment. "Kagome."

"I know you're usually busy or, not feeling very spirited, but i just wanted to let you know my Christmas party will be on the twenty third this year."

He looked her up and down quickly, wondering the same thing he had for the past five years she'd been living in the condo across the way. She had to have cracked, mentally. She knew he never participated in Christmas, yet every year she still invited him. Most would have given up by now, yet she persited. Part of him wanted to respect her for it. A part of him that was instantly denied.

"Hn."

Before she could even hope to try and convince him to come, Sesshoumaru had already turned around and headed into his house, shutting the door with his foot behind hm.
