Perched within the tree, and hidden amidst the twinkle lights strung within its branches, bright blue eyes watched. Gentle melodies from the string quartet reached her ears. Smiling she gazed upon the spacious patio. The garden was decorated beautifully tonight. Everyone was dressed so nicely. She sighed and looked glumly down at her plain dark clothes. They were suitable for her latest bit of espionage. It wouldn't make sense to wear bright clothing while spying. Kagome frowned to herself. Had she really sunk so low? She smiled once more as she told herself he was worth it.
Her gaze cast out among the party goers, searching for the one person she always watched and secretely loved. She wanted to see him one last time before she left. She craned her neck hoping to see over peoples heads. She knew he was here. Her mother had told her so. So intent on her search she didn't notice the approach of an individual she tried to avoid at all cost. She ussually succeeded in her avoidance until she felt a warm hand grasp her ankle and uncerimoniously yank her from her perch. From the ground she looked up and groaned.
How humiliating.
