Sesshomaru: He is an excellent martial artist and an aspiring archaeologist with extensive knowledge of various languages, histories, and artifacts. His right eye is blind; sometimes, in mysterious dreams, he can see out of the eye and look at a person he recognizes as himself in endless mirrors (InuYasha). Sesshomaru was found in his childhood wandering the streets without a memory, before he was discovered and adopted by Inu no Taisho, who recently passed away, leaving his foster Youkai son to continue his great work. He obtained his sword Tenseiga, which he learned to use from Koga, and learned his fighting abilities. As a clone, he has no mind or consciousness and exists only to collect all of Kagome's shards and to return them to her. Of all the clones created by Naraku, he is the closest to what Naraku intended. Although he has no magic of his own, he does, however, possess the ability to store and use magic.
Kagome: The Princess of the Western Kingdom. Kagme is a cheerful, selfless, and stronghearted being. She states if there was ever something that she could do, she would try her absolute best. She possesses a mysterious power, namely her "shards" that can actually change the world, though it will still be a while before anyone understands what that means. Her shards are the manifestation of her soul, namely her heart and memories. She is targeted by Naraku for that very power. After losing her memories, Sesshomaru gave up their relationship in order to save her. Meaning, even if she regains all of her memories, the one that she would never retrieve would be the knowledge of Sesshomaru's existence. She is unusually excellent at games of chance, whether it's her mysterious power or, extremely lucky from being "a favorite of the gods," meaning she gets such good fortune from being one of the gods' favorite daughter. Her main goal is to find the clone of Sesshomaru, who has now separated from the group.

- Western Kingdom-
Like any day, it was hot but everyone in town was happy. Everyone knew how to help others and survive though they had very little. They loved their Kingdom even if it was ruled by a young King named Sota, who was no older then 19 along with his little sister, Kagome who was 15. The palace wasn't like those you would picture but it was a site to see. Princess Kagome on the other hand perfered to sneek off to the ruins where it was now an archaeologist site. It wasn't far from the kingdom but her brother hated when she ran off like that, but that didn't stop her from visiting her childhood friend Sesshomaru.
She approached the ruins where many of the archaeologist outside smiled and greeted their princess. She kindly waved back as she walked past them in search for the one she seeked and secretly loved. She now stood at the entrence of the ruins, she always felt a mysterious feeling when she neared the place.
"Princess?" A voice spoke in suprise from behind her.
She turns to the young man, a huge kind smile on her face "Sessh!"
Sesshomaru smiles at her warmly, "What are you doing out here, Princess? You should be at the palace before your brother gets mad!"
Kagome shakes her head side to side, "Nah ah, I came to visit you Sessh! It's been over 2 weeks since I last came home to visit!"
Sesshomaru had lived in a small house with his foster father in the kingdom walls but rarely stayed there after his father passed away, only when he'd need to get supplies for the expedition he would go there.
"I'm sorry," he smiles at her. "I guess I got a little to caught up in the expedition!"
"I can understand that," She just smiles. "I'd just wish you'd come to visit me more often!"
Sesshomaru scratches the back of his head, "Yeah, sorry... but they dont normally let commoners in the palace!"
"I've told you before, Sessh," Kagome reminds him for the millionth time. "Your my best friend, you have my permission to visit me!"
"Sorry," Sesshomaru couldn't help but say with a smile.
Kagome stands straight again and smiles, "Anyway, since I'm here... are you buisy?"
Sesshomaru looks at the site for a second then back to her, "Not at the moment, No."
"Good," she awe's. "That means you HAVE to spend time with me now!"
Sesshomaru chuckles, "Ok Ok, you win Princess!"
After cleaning up a bit, Sesshomaru and Kagome walked around the dessert that was between the Kingdom and the Ruins, both clearly visible on both sides of them. After awhile, Kagome and Sesshomaru had sad down on a rock, side by side watching as the sun began to set.
"It's so beautiful," Kagome's eyes lower in admiration.
"Yeah," Sesshomaru smiles. "I dont often get to see it when I'm in the ruins. You must see it alot from your balacony."
Kagome looks at Sesshomaru, "No, this is much better... Sessh..."
"Hm?" Sesshomaru looks at her. "What is it Princess?"
She chuckles, "How many times do I have to tell you, call me by my first name!"
"Right," he scratches his head. "Sorry Kagome!"
She looks to her hands, "Hey Sessh..."
He blinks, "What is it?"
"You know..." she looks to the sky. "Every night when I'm alone in the palace and your out here doing your work, I cant help but think about you. Wondering what you are doing, what your seeing, what your thinking. Just thinking about you always sheers me up!"
Sesshomaru stared stunned for a moment then smiles again, "I feel the same way Princess- Kagome. I often think of you as well!"
"Really, I'm glad!" her eyes close with her smile then open again. "Sessh, there's something I've been wanting to tell you... something importan!
Sesshomaru stared at her curiously.
"... something important..." she continues. "Sessh, I Lo-"
Just then a loud bang of a bell caused them both to jump in suprise.
"Oh dear," Kagome stands up and looks to the palace. "I better get home before my brother get's mad!"
"That bell always startles me," Sesshomaru stands beside her looking as well. "Do you want me to walk you home?"
"No," she turns on her heals and teases. "Get back to work!"
Sesshomaru stares at the back of her head.
"Um... Sessh..." she speaks without looking at him. "About the thing I was going to say... I'll tell you next time, Ok?"
Sesshomaru smiles, "Of course... Kagome!"
After that, they both went on their ways. Kagome returned to the palace while Sesshomaru returned to the ruins.
~Western Kingdom Palace~
Quietly, Kagome tip toes down the palace hall to her room. When she tip toes pass the throne room...
"Where were you?"
Kagome nearly tripped but innocently turned to face her brother Sota, sitting in his throne chair boredly.
"I was um..." she tries to think of an excuse.
"You were off visiting that boy again weren't you?" Sota smirks brotherly.
"It's Sesshomaru!" her temper slightly rises. "Why must you always call him like that!"
"To me he'll always be some kid who got lucky and that got connections to enter the palace!" He stands up and walks over to her.
Soon a black haired man enters holding a tray of tea, he stops and looks at them, "Fighting again are we!"
Kagome smiles, "Kohaku-kun!"
"Hello Princess," Kohaku sets the tray down on a table to turns and looks down at her. "Glad to you you've made another safe trip home!"
"Hai," Kagome smiles then glares at Sota. "Unlike you big brother, Kohaku know's I'm always safe!"
"Hey," Sota shruggs from his chair. "Accidents happen!"
"What ever," Kagome turns and leaves the room.
When she was gone, Sota looks to Kohaku.
"It's hard to believe their fates are intertwined," Kohaku smiles where the princess had vanished.
"I wouldn't believe it if it wasn't for the fact your prodictions always come true!" Sota rolls his eyes annoyed. "I dont know why but I just cant bring myself to liking that kid... is it because he's a Hanyou?"
"Or perhaps it's your brotherly nature inside of you," Kohaku kindly teases.
Sota smiles up at him, "That I doubt!"
Kohaku's smile faded a bit, "Yes their fates are no doubt to be together... though I'm afraid with much trouble before hand..."
"... That's what worries me..." Sota looks at his knees.
