Kagome holds the white strip of paper in her hand, hardly able to believe what she sees.

Great blessing. (大吉, dai-kichi).

Machibito (待人). A person expected or waited for.

Negaigoto (願事). One's desire or wish.

There is only one person who could fit the fortune she reads onto the paper, but her eyes keep gravitating toward those words. She glances up at the blessing tree where bad fortunes are hung and, for a moment, wonders if she'd received the wrong fortune by mistake.

And then she sees a familiar being peering down at his own fortune with equal bemusement. Beneath the glamor that flickers when her reiki brushes it, she can see the one she cannot stop thinking of.

Sesshomaru.

She rushes for him, wrapping her arms around his abdomen just seconds before his own close around her.

"Miko." 

They are at last reunited.
