Chapter 1

“Whatcha lookin’ for, Kagome?”

Elbow deep in her backpack, Kagome glanced over her shoulder as Shippo bounded over to her curiously.

“I brought a new game. Thought we could play it while we wait for Inuyasha to get back,” she said with a secretive smile. “What do you think? Wanna play?”

The way his emerald eyes lit up was telling enough.

“Rin! Kagome brought a new game,” Shippo hollered across the clearing as he loped toward the girl. “Come on, let’s play together!”

Rin glanced at her lord, who lounged silently against a tree and Kagome watched with interest as the girl awaited permission to play. Surely, he wouldn’t deny her a little bit of fun.

Amber eyes met blue, and for a moment, he held her captive in his stare. Kagome floundered, wondering what he was looking for, but he remained silent.

He wants what every parent wants, she thought, mentally face-palming herself.

“It’s safe,” she offered with a lopsided grin.

Seemingly satisfied, he moved his eyes to his ward and offered her a nod. She awarded him with a gap-toothed grin and Kagome nearly swooned when his lips twitched into a soft smile after the girl turned away.

He was always so serious, but she’d noticed all of the little ways in which he wasn’t.

Turning back to her bag with a smile on her face, she pulled out the game. Rin and Shippo were hovering over her, trying to get a peek.

“Okay,” she said, turning around and popping to a stand, holding the box to her chest. “Who wants to play Twister?”

“We do! We do!”

Rin and Shippo bounced from foot to foot in excitement, wide eyes pinned to the game in her hands.

“It’s so colorful,” Rin murmured in awe.

“What is it?” Miroku wondered aloud, sidling up behind the kids to get a better look at Kagome’s ‘future game’.

“It’s super fun,” she began, finding a place – conveniently – near Sesshomaru to set up the game. “You spin this dial, here,” she continued explaining. “And you complete whichever instruction it lands on.”

Miroku glanced at the spinner then at the white mat filled with colorful circles as the dynamics of the game took root in his lecherous mind. A look dawned in his eyes and he smirked, glancing over at Sango.

“Sango, dear, perhaps you should play as well?” Miroku suggested lightly, his violet eyes flashing.

“Sure, why not?” The slayer shrugged, not recognizing the danger in Miroku’s suggestion.

“Would you all like an example before we start?” Kagome asked, smoothing her hands down her skirt and deliberately not looking at Sesshomaru.

“Yes, please,” Rin nodded resolutely and Shippo agreed.

Bending, Kagome flicked the black spinner with her middle finger, and everyone leaned in to see where it would land.

“Left hand, yellow,” Kagome read, kneeling to follow the instructions before flicking again. “Right foot, red. And so on. Make sense?”

“Yep.”

“Mhm.”

“Got it.”

“Okay. If you fall, you have to sit out the rest of the game. Everyone ready?”

Choosing a position so that she was furthest from the daiyoukai, she faced him, trying to withhold her triumphant smirk. This was sure to gain his attention. Maybe, he’d even like to play.

Starting with the youngest and working clockwise based on everyone’s position, the game began.

Upon Kagome’s turn, she placed her right foot on red. On her next turn, she knelt as her right hand found blue. She got lucky when she flicked the spinner, and her left hand slapped the green circle the was closest to her, not having to go out of her way to find an open green.

However, as the spaces filled, it became painfully obvious that she’d have to stretch to reach her next goal.

Left foot blue.

“Uh…”

“What’s wrong, Kagome?” Shippo asked, emerald eyes shining up at her with childish naivety.

Glancing down at her skirt, she fully recognized the error of her ways and briefly considered dropping out of the game. Glancing over at the daiyoukai changed her mind. His eyes were intent on their display, the ghost of a smile playing in the corners of his lips.

Go big or go home, Kagome, she thought with a mental shrug.

“Left foot blue, it is,” she mumbled, her eyes finding the nearest blue space available – two spaces away and beneath Miroku’s arm. “Try anything, monk, and you’re dead,” she growled, narrowing blue eyes at him.

She needn’t worry, though, as his wandering eyes were all over Sango’s body as she stretched around him awkwardly to get to her assigned colors.

With one last, quick, glance at Sesshomaru, she widened her stance, spreading her legs to get to her color. Knowing full well that she was on complete display for the demon lord, she glanced at him to gauge his reaction.

She’d worn her lacey black panties that day, and though she hadn’t intended on showing them to him in such a fashion, she decided it didn’t really matter. He’d see them at some point in the day.

She watched him closely as amber eyes swept over everyone, stopping on her bare legs. He shifted subtly as his eyes trailed up her calf, over her exposed thigh and widened as he noticed her choice of undergarments.

Kagome smirked like a vixen when he glanced away only to return his burning eyes to her center immediately after.

Well, something has certainly caught his attention, she thought.

Amber eyes flicked to hers and she held his eye boldly.

Eyes hooding momentarily, he lifted himself and walked casually over to where the group played. The look on his face was ominous and intent on her. She felt her breathing quicken and tried to control it.

She wasn’t expecting it when he passed right by her without a word, and for a moment, she felt slighted. Until she felt a quick tug at her right elbow.

With a shocked gasp, she tumbled to the playing mat and the kids laughed at her.

“Kagome lost! You have to sit out the rest of the game!”

Glancing behind her at Sesshomaru’s retreating figure, her heart beat faster when he met her eye over his shoulder, a subtle shift of his head letting her know he’d be waiting.

Standing quickly, she righted herself and feigned irritation.

“Dang it,” she said. “I lost. Guess I have to sit out.”

Without another word, she casually walked toward to forest, quickening her pace as she neared the trees.

“Have fun,” Miroku said, laughter in his voice. “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”

“That’s a very short list, pervert,” Sango said, though she was also laughing. “Don’t worry, we’ve got the kids.”

Covering her face as it grew hot, she hurried to follow Sesshomaru, as he knew she would.

“Wait, where are those two going?” Shippo asked, trying to see around Miroku.

“Oh, I imagine Lord Sesshomaru wants to attack to pink fortress,” Miroku said, narrowly avoiding Sango’s descending hand.

“Whose pink fortress?” Rin wondered, trying not to wobble as she flicked the spinner.

“Lady Kagome’s, of course.”

“What?! He’s going to attack her?!” Shippo exclaimed, though remained steady on his colors.

“Hmm. He’s going to dip the stinger in the honey,” Miroku continued. “I suppose ‘attack’ could be synonymous in this case.”

“Shut it, monk,” Sango growled, trying to nudge him with her shoulder as Rin wiggled toward her color beside her.

“He’ll be entering the castle to feed the kitty.”

“There’s a kitty?” Rin asked innocently. “Can I see?”

“Oh, no, young Rin. I’m afraid that isn’t possible,” Miroku continued, ducking away from Sango’s aggressive elbow action.

“But, why not?”

“There is no kitty, Rin. Ignore the monk,” Sango said, shaking her head and glaring at Miroku’s coy smile.

“So, then…where are they going?” Shippo asked again, truly curious now as he stretched his neck to see past Miroku’s robe.

“They are negotiating the forested chasm, my young fox friend.”

“No,” Sango said.

Emerald eyes moved from monk to slayer, brow lifting.

“Burying the bone?”

“Uh uh.”

“Harpooning the salty longshoreman.”

“Gross! Miroku!”

“Monkey business?”

“Oh!” Rin said excitedly. “I’ve seen monkeys do their business before.” Her face scrunched up in thought. “Though, I don’t think Lord Sesshomaru would do something like that in front of Kagome.”

Miroku smirked.

“Hmm. Perhaps you’re correct, little one. They’ve gone to do the four legged foxtrot.”

Shippo’s eyes widened comically, a horrified look crossing his childish face and he lost his balance, falling to his butt.

“He’s doing that? With Kagome?!” The kitsune squeaked, his eyes beginning to water.

“Now you’ve done it, monk,” Sango growled, giving up her balance to topple onto Miroku, trapping him in an arm bar.

“Ow, ow, ow. Sango, this is not how I imagined your hands on me.”

“Shut it, perverted monk. You’ve traumatized poor Shippo!”

The pair glanced over at Shippo, his eyes intent on the place Kagome had disappeared into the trees. After a moment, his eyes widened further, his mouth falling open.

“Ship? You okay?”

“I can hear them…” He whispered before running to his neko friend and burying his head beneath her stomach.

Sango looked down at Miroku, who was grinning.

“I can, too,” he admitted. “What beautiful sounds love-making can elicit.”

The resounding smack echoed through the clearing.

A little ways away, Kagome turned her face toward the clearing.

“Did you hear that?”

“Ignore it,” Sesshomaru commanded, his head popping up from where he was occupied between her thighs. “They are discussing us.”

“What about us?” She asked breathily as he continued his ministrations.

“What it is we are currently doing.”

“Ah,” she paused on a moan before pushing up on her elbows. “Wait, what?!”

A large hand spread over her stomach, pushing her back into mokomoko.

“I said ignore it. That’s an order.”

Narrowing blue eyes, she offered a dangerous glare.

“You’re lucky it’s your turn to make the orders,” she huffed.

Sesshomaru didn’t care one way or the other. As long as they weren’t interrupted, he didn’t care what was discussed, nor with whom. He didn’t care if Kagome was upset about it. He didn’t even care that they knew he was currently fornicating with a human woman.

All he wanted in this moment, was to please and be pleased.

And what Sesshomaru wanted, Sesshomaru got.

“Yes,” she breathed. “Right there. Please don’t stop.”

“My pleasure,” he said around a grin, tongue and fangs sliding over heated flesh.
