Sesshoumaru's Lady (Chapter 13) - Wed 14 Oct 2009

Congrats on your nominations and wins!  This story is absolutely deserving of the recognition and awards!  It has adventure, mystery, action, romance, drama, angst and at this point in the story underlying passion.  This is such an awesome story and can't wait for your next update!  This is one story that I absolutely love and enjoy each and every chapter.  Please keep up the wonderful work that you have done on this story.  Congratulations again and I look forward to your next update.

Lauren (Chapter 9) - Wed 14 Oct 2009

I knew it. As soon as Kagome was seen behind Vane, I knew what'd happened. It's disgusting and unfortunate, but it was also extremely common back then, no? Still is actually.

By the warning you gave I thought this chapter would be horribly gruesome. Didn't seem all that violent to me. No detail in any of the acts but Vane's decapitation and flaying (and even that was sparse). *shrugs* But in any case... *throws confetti* Great job Sesshomaru! I'm LOVING the number he did on the crew and that piece of shit Vane. Awesome and exactly what he deserved. Now if only Kagome could be fixed so easily.

Lauren (Chapter 8) - Wed 14 Oct 2009

I've always wondered what (other than fear and a sick, twisted sense of self-preservation) would compel those girls to blame so many "good" people of being witches. Thy were evil girls. And not in the sense of heaven being reserved for those that are good and hell for those that are evil, but actually evil. They felt no remorse for any of the actions they took against anyone - including each other. It's sad. Though the jokes and Monty Python version of the witch hunts in Europe are funny to a point it really is ridiculous (even the headmen of Mass. thought so then). The entire debacle disgusts me on a level I can't even describe. For some reason, maybe because I've always known about Salem, I didn't see this chapter as even a little "dark".

As upsetting as Kagome's departure from Sesshomaru is (though, it's truthfully not very), I feel it's completely necessary. Not because she fucked up, so much that I don't think the sister will go after her. None of them will for now. Sesshomaru has definitely become their main focus. They'd be convinced that they could kill Kagome whenever they wanted. This is a god time, though, for Kagome to be on her own. You need to find somewhere she can go to train, secreted away from everyone. IS there anywhere like that, other than Siberia or Germany, that she could retreat to?

As much as I'm hoping the next chapter doesn't involve Kagome at all, the fact that you've sent any of them (including Gisella and that SOB Brandt) to Tortuga in the late 1700's is just... *sighs* You suck. DX

Lauren (Chapter 7) - Tue 13 Oct 2009

Wow. I completely forgot to leave a review I was so wrapped up in this story and it's companion, 'Besides', by Ijin! Both awesome stories by the way. ^^ I love the way you (two) are weaving Sesshomaru and Kagome into history The original characters in both stories are very... interesting creatures. Especially these "monkey" shapeshifting demons. It is unfortunate that they couldn't travel somewhere of less importance for a time (if only to see how their influence can extend beyond the knowledge Kagome remembers/has of the main events. ...Though that seems like a good reason to only stick with the events she knows. *cough* I'm babbling), but your chapters are as entertaining as the characters they contain.

The relationship between Sesshomaru and Kagome seems to be progressing steadily for the most part; thanks in part, I think to the more in depth/emotionally charged chapters of Ijin's. It's nice to see tha you're using their extended lifetime to not quickly push them together, gloss over their issues (as there are so many) and skip to a happy few hundreds of years, but to lead them step by step in this strangely delicate situation. It's more realistic this way. Thank you for that. I can't stand it when authors fast forward through the "mushy" and completely necessary talks and expressions of feelings.

As for detesting any of your charactes... I don't really like the countess, but I'm not sure what it is I don't like about her. I can't help to hate Brant though. He's such an ass. An arrogant ass that's obviously in love with his cousin. <-- More English than he thinks. I hope Sesshomaru can put him in his place soon.

Blah... In any case, I love your story. If it were possible, I'd nominate it for an award. But you've won them all so... Yeah. Hope everything it well on your side of the computer! *wavies*

Quiet Whisper (Chapter 13) - Tue 13 Oct 2009

YAY you updated! Poor Kagome to loose her hubby after everything she's gone through but at least she's with Sesshy-kun once more. I really hope the order doesn't suceed in wiping out all demons even thought Kagome says their aren't any in her time. (eek a world without Sesshy? *Shudders at the thought*. Anywho totally awesome and i can't wait for the next one!

Quiet Whisper (Chapter 12) - Sun 11 Oct 2009

(Okay I think I might have left a review on FF.net but I wasn't sure so I'm just gonna leave another one LOL)... OMG I don't even know where to start with this review.... wow I mean just wow! This is probably one of the neatest (yup I said neatest LOL) stories with Sess/Kag that I've ever read, each chapter had me practically falling out of my chair because I was so excited to read it. You've done absolutely wonderful in writing this so far and I'm so anxious for the next chapter! Awesome job Lady you so totally rock! (yup I said that to lol)

TP (Chapter 12) - Sat 22 Aug 2009
Amazing...as always! Please keep up the good job, I really look forward to your updates!

kotainuchan (Chapter 12) - Sat 22 Aug 2009
Wow, I really missed this story. The long wait is completely understandable, and I hope you did well. Haha when I took the MCAT I basically just slept, ate, worked and studied for like 3 months :( Anyway, thanks again for a wonderful chapter, and as always I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment.

Arc-an Angel (Chapter 12) - Sat 22 Aug 2009
Wonderful chapter, as well as story. You are astounding in your detail of their lives and the times that surround them, bending it to fit them perfectly. :)

kedala (Chapter 12) - Sat 22 Aug 2009
I screamed 3 times when I saw this. First when I saw you had updated. THANK GOODNESS!!!!! Again when I read that Kagome had married Bastien! That was a scream of agony by the way. And lastly during that moment when Bastien asked how was it that 'Armand' had gotten 'Aurelie' to love him even more. This was wonderful! Wonderful. And that impromptu butter knife scene...and Sesshomaru declaring never wanted any woman other then the one he lost. Loved this line '"Aurelie," began the taiyoukai with a small, ironic smirk, "is not and never has been my wife. She is only yours."' I was like, right, only because Aurelie isn't his. But Kagome will ALWAYS be. I know everyone wants them to get together like yesterday, (okay, so I do too, lol) But the back and forth, the tension, the unrequited-ness that drives me absolutely crazy, only makes for an absolutely wonderful tale! Just please, please don't wait so long to update again. Loves it!! :) XOXOXO

Alpine (Chapter 11) - Sat 08 Aug 2009
I am very sure you have seen several reviews with my very same sentiments... This story is fantastic and I am sure that is why it wins awards... I truly hope you continue the great writing. I hope that Kags and the Fluffster get to understand the feelings they have had for each other too. Please update soon, you have a huge fan. Hugs ^_^

lii (Chapter 11) - Wed 24 Jun 2009
Just wanted to leave a note of true appreciation of what this story is made of. The care and effort behind the research, and the beautiful writing and characterisation make this an enthralling and truly enjoyable piece to read. Thank you!

L-desu (Chapter 11) - Tue 16 Jun 2009

i truly adore how well you stick with historical facts and infuse your characters into the story so seamlessly.  i just love stories and movies that can do that so well, and you're definitely one of my top faves!  good luck to sesshy with that shape-shifter!

kedala (Chapter 11) - Mon 15 Jun 2009

Wow...I love this.

Sesshy is really starting to let his green show.  It was cute to read how he kept interupting them when Kagome and Bastien would try to talk.  I'm glad there was very little akwardness during their first time meeting since the guilt and hurt is still lingering just beneath the surface.  Their relationship does remind me of brother and sister, but not like actual siblings, more like the adoptive role some older males take, making them "big brother" to "lil sis"....college, lol....anyway

I love the flow of their conversations and the fact that they both actually want to be with each other, even if it is platonic right now.

And Sessh and Kags aside...

I just loved this chapter.  I loved reading about Paris and the gory details of the executions and the emotions of the accused and the craziness of the court.

All in all, another wonderful chapter.

kotainuchan (Chapter 11) - Mon 15 Jun 2009

Yay!!!!! Together again..... hopefully. Anyway it's great as usual. I wish I had more for you, but it's truly pointless to critique such a fabulous story, and as always I eagerly await the next installment :)

ToWriteLoveOnAPage (Chapter 1) - Mon 15 Jun 2009

This fic is so good, you really deserved those awards! I'm surprised you don't have more reads on this site, I'll mention you in the next chapter I post and enlighten some of my readers to your brilliance, since their ignorance should basically be a crime lol. Anyway, you have got to be, by far, one of my favorite authors. You're writing is always so flawless and I really appreciate all the research that must go into making these chapters; I get a history headache just thinking about it. Basically, great job, and I really hope Sesshoumaru finds Kagome...well, after he obliterates the shape-shifter. Can't wait for your next chapter!

DaiyoukaiGeisha (Chapter 11) - Sun 14 Jun 2009

Believe me, this story deserves every reward it gets. It's already a classic in my mind and you're not done yet! Historical fiction is one of the many literary sub-genres I love most, and you write it very very well, while keeping everybody in character . I bow to your genius.
