This has just the right about of everything that you'd want in a story -- mystery, romance, action, humor. I really enjoyed everywhere this story took me. This was a great chapter!  You really tugged on my heartstrings with Kagome finding out Sango and Miroku had been keeping their relationship from her because they pity her.  That would really make someone feel awful.  And then she tried to gloss over it and keep smiling for them.  She certainly understands everyone's motivations and tries so hard to make everyone else feel comfortable around her.  I really enjoyed her conversation with Sesshoumaru, and I am delighted he and his "inner beast" are already showing more true interest in her than even her friends have all these years.

This is such an interesting plot!  Very unique!

I used to love DLL's stories, so it's great that someone was able to preserve them here. It's weird that Kag never bothered to learn anything about youkai after meeting them. I would guess that being the curious and independent sort, she would do her own research. And another funny thing is this virgin stuff in the inu universe. I've only seen one author (so far) not use this trope as some blight smell on the female. I don't recall seeing any fics in which the author discuss male youkai smelling like they've been run through.

Sess being alive for at least 500 years and likely having lots of sex would really expect a female youkai to keep herself chaste? Please lol. I noticed this specific commentary in Sentinel Mother too - another great story. It's something that always irritated me in inuverse stories, especially given that they write stories about demons, of which the female demons were usually very sensual and revealing with what they wore.

this was a short, sweet, erotic story that was a joy to read. i loved it from beginning to end. i like it when there is a happy ending to Sess/Kag fanfics. i mean my make it sad when you want them to end up together. it's even more interesting when the families are involved in a positive way. even thought grandpa higurashi can be a little much, he comes around in the end. keep up the great writing. c'ya'

Thank you for posting this story. It was great with a little bit of everything packed into it: action,romance,suspense,murder & kidnapping,good vs. evil & my favorite....a happy ending. I also enjoyed the fact that the story itself was unique.The characters personalities were developed & their interactions were interesting to say the least . I only wish we were given a description of how Kagome & Sessh's pup looked & if he had the markings like Sessh & his father. Oh yeah , did Kagome keep in touch with Ayame when the wedding she was planning for Inuyasha & Kikyo was cancelled & did she get Kouga or not?
