Interesting chapter. Sesshomaru is taking the bold, straight forward approach. I wonder how Kagome will respond.

Oh man that was so touch and go for a bit...  I surely thought Kagome would just flick him off then proceed with her own agenda then Sesshomaru makes an ass out of himself being his usual high and mighty Sesshomaru thinks you are....  Go figure after talking to everyone he found out all Kagome's friends tried to kill her or harm her at one point of meeting including him.  What were the odds of him presenting himself to Kagome like that.  Wonder what she thought?  Wonder what will happen next....  Man what a way to ask for someones hand.

So happy to see this updated! Your stories are my favourites!

A lovely chapter again! And I am starting to understand Inukimi's plan - it seems that she does have some motherly feelings after all! It is obvious that Sesshomaru needed to learn more about humans and about his own emotions. But Kagome needed to learn something too. Even if Sesshomaru hadn't messed up, there would have been problems. Kagome, with her futuristic clothes and near-total ignorance about the yokai customs and etiquette would never have been accepted by the court. She would have been seen as a strange pet, a passing whim of their Lord. Not a true Lady. And she would have known it and been miserable. Now Inukimi has spent the year educating her so that she would actually be prepared for that role. Now they both have a new chance to prove themselves to each other and to the court. That formal bow was definitely a good start! I guess Sesshomaru is now supposed to formally court Kagome with all the same respect and tradition as he would a yokai princess. It will definitely be interesting to see!

The time between updates made it so I didn't remember everything, so I reread the whole story. Best decision ever, because it reminded me how much I enjoyed your characterization of everyone, and the way your plot just moves seamlessly foreword. I really love your interpretation of Sesshoumaru's and his mother's history. The tie-in of the red tassle that hangs on his armor is a great plot device and a beautiful way of making your story seem more cannon. I also really love your OC tree Youkai and their abilities. I will watch my email carefully as I await your next update. 

This is sp good, at first i wasnt sure if i would enjoy this story but i fell in love read the whole thing in 3 days. I need more! I need to know what happens with them. I like how realistic this is and you included things about every day life a lot of authors leave out that make this story feel more authentic if you will. I cant wait for more updates! Please keep writing this is wonderful!

Gah. What a cliffhanger. I'm sorry you've been dealing with burnout. I hope you find your inspiration and are able to finish this fic. It's an all time fave. Another awesome - and horribly sad, though necessary - chapter. 

I'm so sorry to hear about your burnout but, that's also totally understandable. Your writing is, as always, beautiful and makes me want to reach into the story and hug them all. Please know that although we are always dying for the next update we can be patient and when you are ready to write and post it we will be here. Whether that's in five minutes or five years. I truly appreciate you dedication to your stories and this pairing. I hope classes become less stressful but, in this day and age that's unlikely. 

Oh this is soooo good! Great chapter! I'm glad Kagome got to experience Sesshoumaru's memories like this and the hug at the end...wonderful.
