I am an artist who has beta’d for an amazing fic writer- flipflops (AO3). She inspired me to try my hand at a story, hence The Gift. It’s the first thing I’ve written since college? And I’m old. Very old. So please be kind if you drop by to read it.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2021. After my chemo port became infected, I spent a couple of months in the ICU and three months at the hospital in all. I lost the use of my dominant hand which put my artistic endeavors on hold. Writing The Gift was the outlet I needed while I recovered and continue to do so. I appreciate everyone giving The Gift a read and especially all those who’ve commented. I may one day explore a sequel so don’t kill me when you get to the end. :)
