Inspiration

I'm interested in all kinds of mythology, Greek especially, but I like to use bits and pieces. I'm working on two ideas right now, one that will include some basis on mythology. Let's see what I can come up with.

P.C. Cast has a Goddess series. I love to read them. Lot's of mythology.

Other inspiration:

The world. And all the crazy dreams I keep having. Witches, magic water bowls, not to mention the alien lizard people infecting our high schools. I blame R.L Stine for the last one, Calling All Creeps is coming back to haunt me and I need to get a copy.

Angst/Dark

Inspired by Saholia's story Kagome: Storyteller, Miko, Wife or Mate? which includes four Greek myths. The tale of Theseus and Ariadne is the first chapter in her story and the inspiration for this fanfic. This is not meant to be a retelling of the myth or the previously mentioned story, but something on its own.

I really like how this story is coming along.

It will start from Kikyo's point of view. It may veer off to Inuyasha's. Kagome's part is next. I can't wait to get to hers!

Edit (June 19, 2012): Plot and some serious AU developing. Length: 1,300 words.

Edit (June 25, 2012): Introducing Sesshoumaru into the mix. First chap nearing completion. Length: 1,538 words.

Edit (June 29, 2012): Finished third page. Still trying to decide where the chapters will break. Kagome will hopefully show up in chap 2. Come here plot! Elusive brat! Length: 1,631 words.

Canon Universe

Kagome is a healer. Sesshy get's injured. Then it all goes on from there. I'm battling to not make this angsty. I had an idea a long time ago, actually just months (years?) ago, and I really want to use it. It had an original character as the protagonist, I've never really thought about it until now. I even wrote part of it down somewhere. She was dark. I don't know if Kagome can pull it off. We'll see if the two blend or not.

Edit (July 30, 2012): Paper and pencil, yeah! I just hope my brother doesn't find it. Writing that scene stuck in my head.

Edit (August 10, 2012): I'm writing this off the top of my head, without notes or much of a plot, just a scene stuck in my head for years now. Length: 664 words.

There are monsters out there, creatures, dangerous and savage. Monsters who seek to end my life and those of my people. In the darkness they wait, stalking, always watching. Until one night... the night it all goes wrong.

Edit (August 03, 2012): Looking for original story. I have a good scene written somewhere on paper.

Edit (August 06, 2012): Adding history. Villains, Kikyo, and setting up to add Kagome. Length: 586 words.

Untitled vampire story - setting undecided, Kagome and Kikyo likely will be twins. AU Idea stage

Thirteen - I think this is an original story. Not sure. If it is I'll take it off this list. Experiment number 13. Some sort of mutant story. It's been a while since I wrote this one. AU Lost interest or forgot.
